LUAKA BOP
Founded by David Byrne in 1988, Luaka Bop is responsible for helping to introduce and re(de)contextualize 'world' music. Home to artists like Os Mutantes, Tom Zé, William Onyeabor, Tim Maia, and new voices including Delicate Steve and Javelin, Luaka Bop provides a unique and strange mouthpiece for unique and strange artists from all over the world. After Hall spent two years as the label's General Manager, he remained on board at Luaka Bop as a creative consultant.
